Susan Andrews Grace is a visual artist and writer.
Her visual art practice conceptually searches for the metaphysical in the ordinary; it includes textile installation, mixed media, and sculpture. Her work has been exhibited in (mostly) public galleries in Canada and the US over the last thirty years.
Andrews Grace has received grants for her writing and visual art from BC Arts Council, Canada Council for the Arts, Saskatchewan Arts Board and Columbia Kootenay Culture Alliance.
She has written reviews and catalogue essays for artists in the Kootenay region. She was one of the founding faculty of Oxygen Art Centre in Nelson and leads creative writing and creative process seminars. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from UNLV (University of Nevada, Las Vegas) and a BA in Philosophy from the University of Saskatchewan.
Hypatia’s Wake, her sixth book of poetry will be released by Inanna Publications (Toronto, York University) in the spring of 2021.
